Varicose veins are a medical disease that cause a whole list of problems for patients including painful or irritating symptoms, (see this blog post for what these include), and also cosmetic concerns. In most circumstances, treatments for varicose veins are covered by medical insurance.
It is becoming increasingly common that many New Zealand companies offer their employees health insurance as a benefit of their employment contract. If you are unsure if you’re covered by insurance, check with your employer – you may be pleasantly surprised like some of our patients.
